THURSDAY, 17th September, Prelube in Vienna

If you are in Vienna early enough, come and meet the Vindobona HHH at the Napoleon Restaurant (where else?), Kagranerplatz 33 (22nd District) from 8 pm onwards. It's a short walk from the U-Bahn (U1) at Kagranerplatz.

Directions to Hotel in Melk

You are staying in the Wachauerhof, Wiener Strasse 30, 3390 Melk. Tel. No. 02752-52235. Although the hotel address is in Wiener Strasse, you should not drive down this road. If you are using a SatNav, select the city of Melk and then the address of Jakob-Prandtauer-Strasse 4 and you will get to the hotel car park and main entrance (look for Hotel Wachauerhof), which is on Jakob-Prandtauer-Strasse.

Car parking is limited in the hotel car park (please do not park in the areas marked out for buses). There is a larger public car park across the road (Jakob-Prandtauer-Strasse). This public car park has some areas marked in blue and are restricted to short-term parking, so please do not use the blue areas when you park for the weekend.

If you come by train, it is a short walk (650m) from the railway station to the hotel. I would recommend walking down Bahnhofstrasse, turn right into Abteilung Karl-Strasse, then left into Josef-Prandtauer-Strasse and you will see the hotel entrance on your left.

Assuming you have made it safely to Melk and the hotel, here are some details of the weekend. Please note the times in this schedule are subject to change at any time during the weekend. Any changes will be posted on the notice-boards behind the reception desk.

FRIDAY, September 18

2pm onwards - Keys for rooms, available at reception The reception will have a list of those attending (real names, not Hash Names) and you can check in even when the registration desk is closed (during the run and dinner).

5 to 6:30 pm Registration will be at a desk outside reception. During registration, you will be asked to choose the dinner for Saturday night from this list and be given a token for Saturday night :-

(1) Putenschnitzel natur mit Reis und bunte Gemüse - Turkey steak with rice and vegetables

(2) Cordon Bleu vom Schwein mit Petersilienkartoffeln und Preiselbeeren - Cordon Bleu (pork) with parsley potatoes and cranberries

(3) Gemüselaibchen (vegetarian choice) - Veggie Burger

6:30 pm Warm-up run plus a short circle. Meet in the hotel car park for run start. The circle will be in the public car park across the road (Jakob-Prandtauer-Strasse) from the hotel.

8:30 pm - Dinner and party until the wee hours in the Cellar of the Hotel (Heuriger) with Live Music. All drinks (except coffee, expensive bottled wine, hard liquor and champagne) are included in the run fee./p>

9;30 pm or thereabouts (after dinner), registration opens again for the latecomers, in the Cellar

SATURDAY, September 19

7 to 10 am Breakfast in the hotel.

10:30 am - Meet in the hotel car park, for start of run. There will be a walkers trail and a runners trail. These 2 trails will intersect for a beer stop.

At end of run - snack lunch, draft beer and circle by the Danube at the Rowing Club ("Ruderunion"). Note this is 500 m from the Hotel, so please do not disappear into the hotel at the end if the run. On the Melk map look for Pionierstrasse which runs along an arm of the Danube (Donauarm), and you will find the "Ruderunion" clearly marked.

8:30 pm - Dinner in the large room at the back of the ground floor (bring token for dinner). Music, dancing etc. All drinks (except coffee, expensive bottled wine, hard liquor and champagne) are included in the run fee)

SUNDAY, September 20

7 to 10 am - Breakfast in the hotel. Unfortunately you will have to exit the rooms before the Hangover run and leave your key at the Reception. There is a luggage room near the reception for storing luggage during the Hangover Run, and you can use the showers at the sauna after the run, if you want.

10:30 am - Hangover run, followed by circle at the Rowing Club ("Ruderunion") again.

Possible Lunch at the Hotel after the Hangover run at your own cost./span>

In the afternoon, before returning to Vienna, you could visit the Melk Abbey or the Napoleon Exhibition at Schallaburg (8 km from Melk).
