The Vindobona Hash House Harriers will be celebrating Hash #2222 in in the the UNESCO World Heritage area of Lednice-Valtice in the Czech Republic. This celebration will be on the weekend of 1 to 3 September 2023.

Lednice-Valtice is a beautiful town in the Czech Republic, just over the border from Austria.

We will be staying at the Zámecký hotel Lednice in the centre of Lednice (see photo on the right).

We have reserved the complete hotel, which has room for 40 Hashers. Breakfast and dinner will be at the hotel. The rooms offer a view onto the castle courtyard or, across the hotel terrace, into the castle park and herb garden.

Travelling to Lednice-Valtice by public transport is fairly easy and takes about 1hr 50 mins. Check the ÖBB (Austrian State Railway) website for the best connections. Normally, you take a train from the Vienna Hauptbahnhof (direct train to Prague is non-stop to Breclav - 54 mins). Then a 570 Bus (from Breclav in the direction Mikulov, železniční stanice), 18 mins to Lednice, náměstí. Then a 120m walk to the hotel (Zámecké nám. 66). Total time is around 1.5 hours.

Parking at the hotel is limited to 11 places. If they are all used, the hotel will pay for parking at a nearby hotel.

Agenda for Weekend (please note this is subject to change with no notice, in typical Hash Mismanagement tradition)

15:00 Onwards check in to Hotel. The Hotel Reception will have a list of Hashers (Real Names), with room allocation, so they will hand out keys any time after 14:00. If you are planning to arrive late get delayed (after 22:00), please let us know and someone will stay up with your key.

17:00 to 17:45 Registration Desk Registration will open again after dinner and continue until everyone has arrived.

20:30 Dinner and drinks until late. This is a buffet style dinner and we will try to keep some food for the latecomers.

10:15 Meet in front of Hotel for a day of running, eating and drinking. There will be a walkers trail and shortcuts for those who wish to minimize the running.

The run will be include several drink stops and a lunch. When we get back to to the Hotel, there will be a long circle.

19:00 Dinner. Please be on time, or you may miss out (if you are later, we will assume you have crashed and do not want dinner!)

For those that like to dress up, the Theme for Saturday night is any children's character, from a fairy tale (as we are in an area with many castles).

10:00 Latest Checkout Time. Please checkout before the Hangover Hash. We will arrange a place where you can store your bags during the Hangover Hash, if you don't have a car.

10:00 Hangover Hash, followed by circle and goodbyes. Lunch is not provided in the run fee.

We will have our normal Hash at 6:30 pm somewhere in Vienna and you are welcome to join us there.

The weekend fee is €255 per Hasher sharing a room. Single rooms will be €30 per night extra (€60 for the weekend). The weekend fee includes all meals over the weekend, except Sunday Lunch, plus all you can drink after the run and during the meals, plus Haberdashery. It also includes the 2 nights at the Hotel (in a shared room) and various expenses during the weekend.

After submitting the Registration Form, you will receive a confirmation email (within a day or 2) and information about various options for payment. Payment can be made by bank transfer in Euros, UK Pounds & US Dollars.
